A visit to In Praise of Shadows is by appointment only.
Our Founder Brett, hosts all tasting experiences on his property among the vineyards.
We share a driveway with Bekkers Wines at 212 Seaview Road, McLaren Vale and can be found immediately behind their cellar door. As our family home is also alongside we do appreciate our privacy outside of opening hours, feel free to book online here or call Brett on 0411 518 037 if you require assistance.
Perched among the northern vineyards of McLaren Vale, our intimate tasting room is a great spot to explore the I.P.O.S family of wines and discover the philosophies and passion behind In Praise of Shadows.
Our tasting experiences are informal and relaxed, we encourage you to take a moment to slow down and enjoy our special part of McLaren Vale.

Enjoy a seated tasting of up to 9 wines across the In Praise of Shadows range, including the premium and limited ‘Enso series, with I.P.O.S Founder and Winemaker Brett Trewartha. Discover how I.P.O.S came to be, our interest in eastern philosophy, photography, the community and all matter of things, (start a football conversation at your own risk) along with the opportunity to sit at our easel and capture your own ‘perfect moment’ in an Enso brushstroke.

Vineyard
$40 per person
90 minutes (min 2 guests)
Hosted by our Founder and Winemaker Brett Trewartha, in the highly regarded Springs Hill Vineyard atop the rolling hills of Blewitt Springs, we will taste a minimum of 6 wines (including ‘Akira’ Grenache & ‘Kokoro’ Shiraz) as we walk through the very vines from which their journey began.
